2nd Sem of my First Year College Life

The second semester of my first year in college is tiring. I kind of missed blogging so here I am again. I changed my name, btw. From thefashionpotato to hazelaiko. A lot of things have happened in a span of 2 months (since my last blog entry) and now, I don't even know where to start.

Okay, so I just opened my window and it smells like porridge outside?? /le random

I've already finished doing all of my assignments so I'll just write here. I have a lot of blog ideas but I. LACK. TIME. AND. MOTIVATION. /haaalppp

August Memories

I'm officially a college student naww! I'm taking up Tourism Management at LCC - Bacolod. School's pretty fun. Except for the super strict dress code (we can't wear skirts, sandals, etc). 

I haven't been able to post much recently because my iPad got stolen, huhu. Anyway, I'm back now and will be posting as often as I can.

To those unaware, yes, i play guitar. My greatest dream is to be a rocker.

After our school mass, we were so hungry sooo, tadah. This is my first time trying the 'taho' without any 'sago', btw.

I've been wanting to have lighters as my collection ever since I started high school.

With my classmates! MN-chan and Girl. MN is an otaku so I call her MN-chan. 

My nickname is Ai-chan (Aiko is my second name) btw. It was given by my mom.

I've been a fan of paper roses ever since I was a child. It's very practical + it doesn't wilt.

What I like about my friends is that they make me their photographer, which is nice because I've always been fond of taking pictures rather than posing in front of the camera.

Rant

I just found out that if I post photos from my iPad here, it becomes blurry?!?!!! I'm SO MAD ROGHT NOW JUST WHY WHY WHY I TRIED EDITING THE RESOLUTION BUT IT JUST WONT COOPERATE IM MAD THEN IF I POST PICTURES FROM MY PHONE IT BECOMES OKAY IM REALLY MAD NOW SO MAD

Summer Wardrobe

You may think that it's really late for me to post this kind of stuff since after two weeks, it's school days again. But I'm really bored and I have nothing to do, so yeah... (awkward silence)

Tank tops or camisole or sleeveless tops or whatever you want to call it, is really a must. Why? If you don't know the meaning then I hate you. 

   

Shorts are really important because it gives your legs enough air to be able to survive this giant oven that we are living in right now. It's also an excuse for you to flaunt dem legs /wink. 

 

Now if you want to upgrade your summer wardrobe into a more girly one, skirts are good investment. There are a lot of variety of skirts nowadays, but the trend right now is the 'skater skirt' which I can see pretty much all the teenage girls wearing. If you want a hybrid between skirt and shorts, buy skorts. It's like a skirt, but it's a shorts. Deal with it. 

If you don't want to be blinded by the sun's overwhelming disco ball brightness, I suggest you find a good pair of sunglasses. Sunglasses also comes in different designs, so choose one that suits your face shape. I find the ones that engulf my whole face better because it's so KPOP-like. 

Pants are very important eapecially if you want to protect your legs from the harsh heat of the sun. I'm really biased towards pants because I'm a pants-loving person, but even if you are not, you should have atleast two to three pairs because it can be worn for casual events, etc. 

Because it's summer, it's important to let your feet breathe, so put away all your boots and shoes and wear open-toe sandals. Gladiators are in nowadays too, so you may want to try that one out. 

Pastels make everything have that 'summer-vibe' so try to have one in your closet. It may be accessories, shoes, or clothing. Pastel is very versatile so you can wear it all year round. 

What's summer without swimwears? There are a lot of types of swimsuits right now. There are even high-waisted ones, strappy ones, frilly ones, and many more! Find one that fits your body shape and you're ready to hit the beach!

Wishlist

I've been very addicted to Polyvore right now that sometimes, I find myself making outfit outfit ideas at 4 in the morning. Since all the shoes and clothes and pretty much almost everything fashion-related are on Polyvore, I decided to make my wishlist. It's basically a (somehow) bucketlist for all the things that I've been eyeing and dying to have right now. 

As you've noticed, most of the things in here are in white because I'm a huge sucker for white-colored things (my bed is white, too). My fashion style also revolves around the colors black and white. The black sandals should be out of the picture already since I bought a pair from Primadonna yesterday using my own money (yay, happy kid). 

I've been roaming around the mall in hopes of finding a good pair of white pants but I really can't find one. 

Can you suggest where can I find a black top like this one? And the blue pants, too. My auntie recently bought me a bag similar to this one and I'm so happy, I can't even.

Girls' Day

Recently, me and my friends decided to go to the mall because of the scorching heat and, of course, the first stop will always be the photo booth. 

Tip: Always take pictures before you turn into a 'sweat-fountain releasing ogre'

The thing about me and my friends is that we have a 'specific day' of going out. Everything we do is planned (which I'm quite against, lol) but I guess that's okay. 

Our next bonding will be on the end of the month and I'm really excited about it.

How To Style: White Crop Top

Summer is the season of crop tops and here is a simple guide on how to look effortlessly fashionable with a plain white crop top (I've been repeating the word crop top in this sentence for so many times, it's starting to sound annoying.)

Pairing it with a crochet lace shorts will make you look chic since the contrast between denim and lace is perfect.

Are you going anywhere this summer? For me, my family cancelled our trip twice and how fun is that. I mean, can you hear the sarcasm in my voice, can you? Anyway, I've been practicing how to drive a car these past few days and I guess that's how I'll spend my summer. Such a shame I can't wear the bikini that I bought recently. It's a super cute and bright pink colored bikini. It's so pink everyone will be blinded. Anyway, I really hope you enjoy your summer vacation! Do something productive or if you can't, take time to talk to your parents and apologize for being a disappointment (like what I'm planning to do).

Food

My blog wouldn't be complete without a food post. I really eat a lot. At random times. At random places.

This is like childhood all over again! I really don't know what these are called but I remember eating these as a kid so when I saw it I just had to buy it.

This is what a beautifully-plated-waste-of-money looks like. While waiting for our movie, we decided to eat in a cafe and I was like, "Oh, it's been a while since I've last eaten Sans Rival so I'll have that" and it was a bad decision. This tastes nothing like Sans Rival.

Moonleaf's Strawberry Milk Tea! One of my favorite drinks in the whole world. And the cute barista put a smiley face on my cup, I mean how cute is that? 

It was late at night and I was like, "Woah, I've never been so hungry in my entire life." So I called the pizza place near our house and voila ~ A pizza drowning in hot sauce. You will be full just by drinking water.

My favorite thing to do after hearing mass is eating the foods that Nanay and I bought. The best thing about it is that you get to eat different kinds of variety of foods every Sunday.

This would taste good if it wasn't stale.
